Electronic PIN code
What is an Electronic PIN code?
An Electronic PIN code (E-PIN) is a new digital service that replaces the traditional method of receiving a PIN code on paper. All Fibank customers holding debit and credit cards will now receive their PIN code entirely electronically.
The provision of a paper PIN for all First Investment Bank cardholders in Bulgaria will be discontinued.
Advantages of the service:
- Instant receipt of the PIN code directly on the mobile phone or via online banking;
- Convenient electronic storage that eliminates errors and abuse;
- Accessibility of the service at any time.
How is the Electronic PIN code obtained?
The Electronic PIN for the card is provided PERSONALLY to the bank card holder.
Regardless of whether the card is received at an office or by courier, the cardholder can receive his/her PIN code in one of the following ways:
For clients registered for My Fibank electronic banking
The service is available to individuals and legal entities with access to My Fibank electronic banking (web and mobile application).
Each client who has received his/her bank card is required to:
- Log in to My Fibank and select the "Cards" menu;
- Select the card and press "More" button;
- Select "Show PIN" option.
- The bank provides access to the initially generated PIN code in the profile of each cardholder in My Fibank until the moment when he/she changes it.

For clients without registration for My Fibank electronic banking
The service is available to individuals and legal entities, as they are required to:
- Send an SMS to 10800 with a unique identification code;
- ! The identification code is indicated on the form with which the card is received, and is located under the plastic itself.
- After successfully entering the code, the Bank sends back to the cardholder an SMS with the PIN to the mobile number from which the unique identification code was previously sent;
- The deadline for receiving the PIN via SMS is 60 calendar days from the date of receiving the card.
In case of incorrect execution of the above-mentioned actions, as well as after the expiration of the specified period, the PIN code can be received at any time through My Fibank electronic banking.
Additional information:
- Receiving the PIN via SMS is applicable only to numbers serviced by Bulgarian mobile operators;
- The service becomes temporarily unavailable if 4 incorrect codes have been entered consecutively in the last 24 hours. The restriction is based on a phone number;
- Upon request via SMS, the message is sent to the entered phone number specified by the cardholder, provided that this number matches the number registered to the cardholder's name with the Bank;
- The service is completely free for all Bank clients.
