First Investment Bank with a “Sports Icarus”

First Investment Bank was distinguished for being the bank with the greatest contribution to Bulgarian sports. Stefka Kostadinova handed the statuette to Maya Georgieva, Executive Director of Fibank on the “Sports Icaruses” award ceremony held on Monday (December 18 2006).

The “Sports Icaruses” awards are given every year by “Bulgarian Sports” Foundation and by the Bulgarian Olympic Committee.

First Investment Bank has been the general sponsor of the Bulgarian Olympic Committee since the beginning of 2006. The Bank will support the organization and the realization of all sports and public activities of the Bulgarian Olympic Committee until 2009. Fibank will provide financing for the preparation of young talents for their participation in the Olympic Games, for sports events in Bulgaria – Youth Olympic Days, International Olympic Day, Children’s tournaments in different sports disciplines, “Sports for everyone” competitions and for the arrangement of art exhibitions and competitions on sports themes as well as for the participation of the BOC in international seminars. First Investment Bank undertakes to pay social pensions to Olympic medalists and to support former sportsmen and sporting figures.
