Fibank First Investment Bank celebrated the 15th anniversary since its establishment on the St. Nicholas' Day with a big party at the “Happy End” bar in Bansko. More than 950 employees of the Bank came to the party for the fifteenth anniversary, some of whom have been a part of the FIBanks team ever since the first working day of the institution.
The guests were welcomed by Mr. Matthew Mateev, Chairman of the Managing Board of FIBank who reminded the guests the courage and tenacity they had when they started in the beginning and wished much professional and personal success to the employees who are the most valuable asset of FIBank. Mr. Mateev also thanked everybody who, with their hard work and high professionalism, turned the name of FIBank into a symbol of the highest standard of customer service, of a modern and dynamic bank institution.
Those present had the chance to enjoy the excellent performance of the “Akaga” music band. Hosts of the party were Vassil Vassilev – Zueka and Martha Vachkova, and they both created a jolly atmosphere with their jokes and wonderful improvisations. Martha Vachkova played the character of Siyka, and provoked a loud applause. The female character from the FIBank’s “Serious” deposit account advertising spot gave back the unused jar caps to Maya Georgieva, Executive Director of the Bank.
In the course of the evening there was a lottery and the funds raised from the ticket sales will be used for one of the causes included in the FIBanks social responsibility policy, and namely for the ensuring of scholarships for orphaned children who are studying Banking and Finance.
FIBank was incorporated in 1993 and started its activity with 12 employees and one office situated at 10, Stefan Karadzha Street. Today the number of First Investment Bank’s employees exceeds 2 400 and the number of branches and offices in Bulgaria is 159, the Bank has one office in Cyprus.
First Investment Bank also owns three subsidiary companies - First Investment Finance B.V. (the Netherlands), a company incorporated with a special investment purpose, Diners Club Bulgaria AD with its main activity issuance of credit cards with the logo of Diners Club and First Investment Bank – Albania Sh.a with five offices in Albania. The company was established in April 2006 and in June 2007 it acquired a full banking license from the Central Bank of Albania. On September 1, 2007 the new bank took over all the assets and liabilities of the existing branch of FIBank in Tirana.
