The total value of the project is above 23 000 Bulgarian Leva.

The “Libraries for Bulgarian Schools” programme is a new initiative in the FIBank’s corporate social responsibility policy which has for its purpose the long-term investing in society. The chosen libraries were nominated by the FIBank’s employees who directly participated in the programme by donation of funds.

Thus the Bank and its employees undertook to solve the local problems – the library funds of the above schools were very outdated and unable to meet the new educational requirements or to attract the children’s attention to reading.

The “Libraries for Bulgarian Schools” programme is also valuable for being the first attempt to solve a socially important issue through a public-private cooperation which brought together teachers, parents, citizens, local authorities and business.
