Fibank First Investment Bank won the award for “The biggest donation of services and time by its employees” at the Fourth Annual nominations of “Bulgarian Donors’ Forum” and “Corporate Donor Club” which were held today, December 18 at the Hilton hotel.
The award was bestowed by HE Nancy McEldowney, US Ambassador to Bulgaria, to Ms. Maya Georgieva, an Executive Director of FIBank. Ms. Georgieva thanked all employees of the Bank who welcomed and gave their love to the children from the orphanages, who actively participated in the blood donation, who cooperated for the restoration of the libraries in Bulgaria, who designed products which involved FIBank’s customers in charity initiatives.
“Yes, regardless of the fact that the amount donated by the bank for different charity activities is slightly smaller than that donated by the winner in this category – this award delighted us much more. We have wanted to say for a long time – it is not only a matter of money, but a matter of heart and soul! And this is what matters most! Our employees devoted their time not only to their work at the bank, but to the work for society. As a Bulgarian bank we consider that this is our duty!” shared Ms. Georgieva receiving the award and added her gratitude to “Workshop for Civil Initiatives" Foundation “without whom we would not be so well organized and we could not adequately respond to the needs of our society. A matter of heart and soul!” she added.
