Zueka Together With Orphaned Children Painted a Bank

An "Opened Doors Day" event took place at the offices of First Investment Bank in 9 cities throughout the country. The employees of FIBank hosted orphaned children in the cities of Sofia, Bourgas, Stara Zagora, Vraca, Dobrich, Lovech, Gabrovo, Plovdiv and Veliko Tarnovo.

Maya Georgieva, Executive director of FIBank together with other employees of the bank in Sofia welcomed children from capital's "Pencho Slaveikov" orphanage at the bank's central branch on 37, "Dragan Tzankov" blvd. Among the guests was also the 20-year old Desi Traikova, who has already visited First Investment Bank during the Opened Doors Day event in the preceding year and currently is employed by the financial institution. Desi encouraged the children with the following words: "I am already 9 months in FIBank and I feel myself happy and helpful. Do not doubt that you can also fulfill your dreams." The kids had prepared a special holiday program, presented by them in front of the fascinated employees and clients of the bank.


It was Vasil Vasilev - Zueka himself, who brought the big surprise for the kids. Until his appearance at the very height of the party, he was hidden in one of the reception halls. Following the directions of the artist, the kids unleashed their imagination on the theme "Our bank".

"House", "Chip card", "You deposit money to take more afterwards" were part of the kids' associations that they shared with Zueka. The painting, jointly made by the kids, shall remain in the branch of the bank.

The opened doors day event is organized for a third consecutive year with the support of the "Workshop for Civic Initiatives" foundation. The foundation manages the "Social Responsibility of FIBank" fund of First Investment Bank.

FIBank invested BGN 35 000 during 2007 through the "Social Responsibility" fund for the purpose of developing the skills of orphaned children. Training courses for development of youngsters in nine Bulgarian cities were realized through the program. The courses were determined in accordance with the interests of the youngsters - cookery, hairdressing, cycling and participation in cycling trips, producing of linocuts and greeting cards, etc.

The "Social Responsibility" fund, managed by "Workshop For Civic Initiatives" foundation has the purpose to provide possibilities for development of children and youngsters from the orphanages in the country, through supporting their social adaptation, realization in life and preparation for an independent living.
