First Investment Bank received the Golden Martenitsa Award for 2011 in the financial institutions category

At a glamorous ceremony at the Continental Plaza in Sofia, First Investment Bank was awarded the Golden Martenitsa award for 2011.

The prize is awarded for the most favorable credit policy for small and medium enterprises in Bulgaria. The bank was awarded for its Super Credit and Entrepreneur Club products and for its role in supporting Bulgarian companies to get access to EU funding.

The award was presented by Mr. Traicho Traikov, the Minister of Economy and Energy of the Republic of Bulgaria. In his acceptance speech Mr. Vassil Hristov, the Executive Director of the bank said: "First Investment Bank is a Bulgarian bank and we will always strive to assist our domestic production".

The ceremony was attended by Mr. Boyko Borissov, the Bulgarian Prime Minister, who expressed his firm support to all organizations, companies and individuals who contribute to the development of domestic and international market for Bulgarian products.

The Golden Martenitsa awards is presented for the eighteenth time by the Made in Bulgaria Association. The mission of the organizers is to stimulate domestic production and services and encourage Bulgarian companies to improve competitiveness.
