On July 23 Maya Georgeva, Executive Director of First Investment Bank handed talisman liona to the twice Olympic champion Maria Grozdeva and to the young hope in pistol shooting Irena Tanova. The Bulgarian shooters are the first group traveling to Beijing on July 27.
"We believe in you and we keep our fingers crossed! Bring medals home!", wished Maya Georgieva on the ceremony and gave them additional presents – luxury wallets, noting that there is room for the prize money which FIBank will give to the medalists from the Beijing Olympics.
On behalf of the BOC the ceremony was attended by Mr. Belcho Goranov, General Secretary of the Committee who used the occasion to express his gratitude to the General Sponsor First Investment Bank which has always supported Bulgarian sportsmen.
