The Mutual fund is a Collective Investment Vehicle of opened type for investments in securities and other liquid financial instruments. The mutual fund is not a legal entity but a pool of assets with the purpose of collective investment in financial instruments of funds raised through public offering of shares carried out on the principle of risk spreading. Each mutual fund is organized and managed by a Managing company that performs all actions related to the fund. The mutual fund issues/sells shares by which the investors exercise their right of ownership on part of the assets of the fund and the right of redemtion.

In all branches of First Investment Bank, acting as a person under Art. 16 of the Ordinance № 26 of FSC, where orders are accepted for transactions in financial instruments can be submitted orders for subscription/redemption of shares of four mutual funds organized and managed by Managing company FFBH Asset Management AD:

  • Mutual Fund "FIB Garant" (low-risk)
  • Mutual Fund "FIB Classic" (balanced)
  • Mutual Fund "FIB Avangard" (high-risk)
  • Mutual Fund "FFBH Vostok" (high-risk)

The main advantages offered to the investors by our mutual funds include:

  • diversification of risk – the money is invested in many different financial instruments, thus the total portfolio risk is reduced significantly, something that would be difficult or very costly to be achieved by the individual investor;
  • professional management of investments against a fee management;
  • high liquidity - the investor can get his money back at any time with the returns realized to that date by submitting a redemption request;
  • lower transaction costs by pooling a large amount of money;
  • preferential taxation – the income from transactions with shares are not subject to taxation;
  • convenience - the sale and redemption of shares are made each business day in more than 100 branch offices of Fibank and at the office of FFBH Asset Management AD;
  • transparency of activity - funds are strictly regulated by the Bulgarian legislation and a number of institutions to ensure proper implementation of regulations in the management of mutual funds and to protect small depositors.

Investments in mutual funds are exposed to risks which are subject to control by a carefully developed and followed risk policy. The main risk factors affecting share prices are market risk, credit risk and systemic risks.
