Through the information service SMStatus you will be duly informed of your account balances and activities, interest and exchange rates, of your installments due and other useful information.

The service is intended for all customers of Fibank – individual and corporate who can use it after an initial registration. Once registered, you will be able to make an inquiry by sending an SMS and a codeword to short number 190 190.

Five advantages of the SMStatus service:

  • Convenience – you can use SMStatus for both your personal and corporate accounts;
  • Simplified procedure – the usage of the service requires a one-time registration, which can be made at any branch of Fibank at your convenience;
  • Flexibility – you can receive information about all the activities on your accounts or only about the credit/debit activities; you can also specify minimum amounts above which to receive SMS notifications;
  • Functionality – one and the same periodic information can be received by different employees of your company (you have the option to specify up to 3 different GSM numbers);
  • 24 hours a day, 7 days a week – you can be informed not depending on the Bank working hours.

What kind of information can you receive via the service SMStatus?

Via the service SMStatus you have the option to receive the following three types of information:

1. Information upon subscription:

You can periodically receive the following types of messages:

  • About the available balance on the registered bank accounts :
  • Daily – once at 9.30 a.m., 12.30 p.m. or 5.00 p.m.;
  • Daily – two or three times at the above specified hours;
  • Weekly – every Monday at 9.00 a.m.
  • About the Fibank foreign exchange rates – daily at 9.00 a.m.;
  • About the central exchange rates of the BNB – daily at 3.30 p.m.;
  • Reminder messages for loan installments – every month 5 days before the maturity date the Bank sends a reminding SMS about the installment amount and its due date.

Upon  subscription you can receive the following additional types of messages, sent by the Bank in case of account activity on the registered accounts:

  • About all types of account activities;
  • Only about cash transactions;
  • Only about intrabank transactions – on accounts with Fibank;
  • Only about interbank transactions – to/from accounts opened with other banks.
For all types of transactions you can choose to receive messages about credit or debit activities or both, as well as to specify minimum amounts below which you would not like to be sent messages.

2. Receiving a SMS in return to your inquiry

In order to receive information via the service SMStatus, you have to send a specific codeword against which the Bank will give you the required information. For further details, please click here.

3. Free information from Fibank

As an addition to the usage of other bank products and services you can receive the following SMS notifications:

  • For a bank loan – the Bank sends a notification if the monthly loan installment becomes overdue. The notification is sent 5 days after the installment due date;
  • For an overdraft on a debit card account – the Bank sends a notification about a forthcoming expiration of the contract with a view to its renegotiation. The notification is sent 75 days in advance;
  • For a mortgage overdraft – the message is sent if the accrued interest, charges or commissions during the grace period exceed the approved limit. The notification is sent on the 1st date of the month and provides information about the amount which exceeds the approved limit;
  • For unaccounted/unexecuted automatic payment – the notification is sent within 2 working days of the payment deadline and provides information about the amount and the type of the payment;
  • If a promissory note reissuance is needed.

It is possible that you do not receive a message if you are traveling to a country outside the European Union or the USA and you have chosen to use roaming services provided by some of the GSM operators given in the attached list.
