2001 Awards

2001 was a year of great success for First Investment Bank. In line with the excellent financial results and the remarkable growth in the number of attracted customers the Bank was honored with two highly regarded awards.

These two awards reflect the process of strengthening the position of First Investment Bank among the leading financial institutions in Bulgaria and represent an important impetus for the further development of the bank.

Mrs. Maya Georgieva, Executive Director of First Investment Bank was designated “Banker of 2001” by the prestigious Bulgarian weekly “The Banker”.

The award is given for personal qualities and skills demonstrated by bank managers during the respective financial year.

“Banker of the Year” award handed to Maya Georgieva by Levon Hampartzoumian, Chairman of MB and Chief Executive Director of Bulbank.

First Investment Bank received the “Bank of 2001” award by the influential Bulgarian daily “Pari” (“Money”).

“Bank of the Year” award handed to First Investment Bank by Ivan Iskrov, Head of the Budget Commission of Bulgarian Parliament.

The award was given on the basis of complex criteria, including financial results, efficiency and growth dynamics.

For the first time the customers’ opinion of was taken into consideration – directly and indirectly their assessments affected the final ranking.
